Dr.P.Prakasam is a Director, Center for Learning and Teaching, SNS Group of Institutions. In addition to overseeing the Center for Learning and Teaching, he also serves as a Senior Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SNS College of Engineering. As CLT Head, he supports teaching and Learning and also champions the adaptation of evidence-based practices in learning and teaching across Institutions.
Prior to coming to SNS Institutions, he served as Principal, Professor and various cadres for more than 22 years in several leading institution and industry. He also attended various induction training programmes and faculty development programmes. He has been involved with several projects on research and development of research skills at the postgraduate and doctoral level, problem/project based learning, threshold concepts in the disciplines, faculty attitudes and practices in teaching and learning, curriculum development and course design in higher education, academic development, academic analytics, and educational technologies.
In addition, he is also an Editor-in-chief of Journal of Signal Processing and Wireless Networks. He is an editorial board member and reviewer of more than 25 international journal including IEEE, Springer and Elsevier. He is a well known educationalist and he has participated in visual media several times. His name has been included in Marquish Who’s Who in the World, USA, 2008 outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st century for his outstanding contribution.
Ms. A. Kowshika is a Coordinator at the Center for Learning and Teaching and an Assistant Professor from Department of Information Technology. She holds M.E., Degree and possesses eight years of experience in teaching. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree under Anna University, Chennai. Her research area includes Multihop Wireless Networks, MANET. She takes up the job of coordinating the various events of CLT and she has interest towards implementing the variety of pedagogy in teaching and Collaborative teaching, which is a part of Learning and Teaching Process. Also she extends her dedicated help to her colleagues in all aspects of teaching preparations.
Mrs. V. Savitha is a Coordinator at the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) and Faculty of Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She collaboratively works with our team to facilitate the best innovative practices in teaching with high focus on flipped classrooms, effective pedagogy principles, project based learning and active learning. She possesses 12 years of teaching experience and collaborates with her faculty members in the area of teaching learning that includes course design, curriculum mapping, assessment techniques and mentorship. She is always willing to work with her team to enrich the learning experience for the students and to promote the leadership qualities.
She is involved in variety of programmes that promotes the effective use of computer technology to enhance and enrich student learning & professional development.
He has 7 years of Teaching Experience and 2 years of Industrial Experience. He has Industry Relations experience of more than 7 years. His keen interest is to mentor teachers towards making Industry ready Engineers by implementing Bloom’s method of Innovative and best practice in Teaching and Learning Process. He has undergone several training in teaching learning Process conducted by Professional body of India. He conducted many faculty development program and Staff development program such as, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Active Learning Teaching Methodologies, and Student Assessment and Student Engagement techniques in Teaching Learning process. He is also a quality circle member of SNS Group of Institutions, guides and supports teachers in order to transform them as Facilitators.

Ms. V.Preetha feels that engineering education is to learn problem solving strategies and develop critical thinking skills. She focuses lectures around establishing the fundamentals, and building up practical problem solving skills. She is a well organized person and likes to teach students to think critically and solve problems in a structured way, so that they can use what they’ve learned outside the classroom as well. Her ultimate goal as a teacher is to make them classroom comfortable.
As a member of centre for learning and teaching Mr. M.Sathish Kumar holds the responsibility of taking initiatives to introduce innovative pedagogical methods in the classroom. He posses three years of experience in teaching and learning. He teaches Courses related to Mechanical engineering where more practical applications are involved. Also he assists and facilitates those who wish to refine their teaching, design or update courses, and/or explore alternate teaching methods. He always believes that Learning is a gift; even when Pain is your teacher. He emphasizes that Service to learning and teaching is service to the future generation.
Ms. Aishwarya, is one of the members of CLT team in SNS Institutions. In addition to her work as CLT member, she is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of EEE. As an Educational developer and member of the e-learning team at the Centre, she works along with faculties to develop an innovative learning strategy to engage the students. She started her career in a classroom teaching Microprocessor and Microcontroller with nothing more than a chalk. Now after one and half years, she now can find the pragmatic insight into how technology can facilitate teaching and now encouraging the students to use the technology to overcome the challenging problems.
According to her statement, Learning by doing is best strategy to keep the students active throughout the session. Whenever the students are doing they tend to grasp the concept well which she noticed during the lab sessions. She uses role plays to her subject concept so that she can make an Interactive environment inside the class and the students too won’t feel boredom inside her class.
Mr. S. Vasanthaseelan, is one of the CLT member of SNS institutions. In addition to his work as CLT member, he also serves as the assistant professor for the department of automobile engineering. He took the responsibility of implementing modern teaching methodologies and carrying out activity based learning, evidence based learning and project based learning in his department and campaigning the same over the various departments through center for learning and teaching.
He is interested in organizing workshops and guest lectures on teaching methods for modern classrooms through all the possible innovative methods of teaching. He will be always available to facilitate and incorporate the various methods of higher education teaching methods based on lecture centered and student centered.
Mr. Hemnath Soundararajan is a product designer with the responsibility of integrating new technologies into learning and teaching process. He installs technology based systems and machine throughout the campus to make the teaching and learning process more simpler and to understand the concepts both in theoretical and practical classes for the students as well as for the faculties. He can also assist instructors to determine most relevant mix of technologies and tools for their class. He has an idea of implementing learning process inter- related with social awareness and safety in the society.
As the member of Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) at SNS Institution, Ms. R. Monisha works with faculty members to build a community of best teaching practice. Ms. R. Monisha teams up with the members of CLT to enhance the culture and quality of teaching at our campus. Also she facilitates in offering individual teaching consultations, workshops, and discussions in which the students talk with and learn from each other. She will be working to encourage instructors to reflect on their own teaching, to engage with and gain insights from each other in collegial way. She involves herself in creating excellent learning environment for students through activities in CLT.
Ms. T.Kousalya is one of the CLT members in our SNS institutions. In addition to her work as CLT member, she is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. She took the responsibility to implement the activity based learning in class room to engage students actively. The bonding between the students and faculty has improved because of her contribution.
As a member of the CLT, she works to improve the curriculum which should incorporate higher order thinking skills, multiple intelligence, communication skills and self learning methodology along with the authenticated scientific assessment and evaluation of students and encourage them to solve the challenging problems.
Mrs.B.Sajitha is an academician for past 5 years and specialized in the field of Electrical Engineering. She believes that a great teacher inspires and develops interest towards learning through her teaching methodology. By practicing an assortment of pedagogical techniques namely activity based, project based and problem based teaching, she has achieved the same and also continues to follow it. Centre for learning and teaching has laid a strapping platform in the process of leading learners to understand, use and disseminate the acquired knowledge. She follows that if a teacher is passionate towards teaching and learning, then he/she has the right and the capabilities to facilitate others learn.
Ms K. Poranimaa is a HR at the Centre for Learning and Teaching and a faculty in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. She initiates the interview process, organizes the panel members for the interview and fills the vacancies created in SNS institutions based on well defined interview process. She holds the responsibilities of facilitating the recruitment process.
Ms.M.Jotheeswari is one of the CLT members in our SNS institutions. In addition to her work as CLT member, she is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She took the responsibility to implement the project based learning in class room to engage students as well as improve the technical skills of the students. She involves herself in creating excellent learning and flexible classroom environment for students through activities in CLT. Also she involves herself in Organizing best teaching practices for faculty members.
She interested in teaching students with experiential learning which helps them to shine in their career much effectively. Learning through activities makes the students more energetic throughout the session. She has an idea about implementing teaching and learning process that promote the use of computer technology to enrich the student professional’s development
Dr.P.Geethamani is an academician since 2004 and specialized in the broad field of Chemistry. As a member of Centre for learning and teaching, she holds the responsibility of taking initiatives to introduce and demonstrated their commitment to pedagogical excellence by engaging in professional development, classroom innovation and reflective improvement methods in the classroom. Centre for learning and teaching has been a long-standing provider of in-house and legal training. Everyone, she has dealt with has been friendly, professional and on-the-ball. She is always willing to join her hands with her team to enrich the learning experience for the students and to promote the leadership qualities.
